POLAND Hupac Terminal Brwinów rolls into view

Swiss railway terminal operator Hupac has completed the development of a railway terminal in Brwinów, about 30 km west of Warsaw city centre.

Construction work on the new terminal started in February 2021. Hupac Terminal Brwinów covers a site of more than 14 ha on the railway route from Warsaw towards Żyrardów and Skierniewice, It includes a transshipment area of over 42,000 sqm, four loading tracks with a minimum length of 750 sqm, an office building and other necessary infrastructure. The terminal, which is to be used for the transshipment of containers between trains and road vehicles, is scheduled to come into use on September 7th.

The general contractor for the project was Firma Budowlana Anna-Bud, while Bilfinger Tebodin provided investor supervision service by managing the construction and providing opinions by supervision inspectors on the solutions proposed by the general contractor.

This was Bilfinger Tebodin's first contract with Hupac, but the company has also previously provided investor supervision for the construction of another project in this segment – the PCC terminal in Kutno.
