Back in bloom

The market also seems to be coming back to life – and with more vigour each passing week, but I’m not sure whether that’s because flowers have started to bloom, or rather that inflation that is no longer so rampant. Things have generally become calmer. It was worth listening to how much so, for example, at the stands and in the tents at this year’s MIPIM fair in Cannes, where we made many new, valuable contacts, and recorded a few interviews with some fairly optimistic comments (which you can read in this issue of ‘Eurobuild’). At our most recent conference, this time on the investment market, it also emerged that the situation on the commercial real estate market is stabilising, and the main players are either closely monitoring the situation in anticipation of the best investment opportunities arising, or are already preparing their investments.
