CZECH REPUBLIC Kempinski buys Augustine Hotel, Prague
Kempinski Hotels has acquired the Augustine Hotel in Prague. This is the first acquisition for the hospitality group in over 50 years, since it bought the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich in 1970.

Czech Republic Hotel transactions boom
The Czech hotel market is building on an exceptionally strong year in 2025, marked by a significant increase in transaction volumes and investor interest. According to Cushman & Wakefield, a total of 16 hotels were sold in the Czech Republic, representing 2,989 rooms and a total transaction volume of EUR 764 mln. Based on available data, this represents the highest annual transaction volume ever recorded on the Czech hotel market.

Romania Romanian hotels grow
Occupancy rates increased by around 4 pct in the first six months of the year compared to the same period of 2024, according to a report by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox with the figures based on the STR data. The average daily rate (ADR) grew by circa 8 pct in local currency. This resulted in a spectacular 12 pct increase in RevPAR YTD 2025 versus 2024.

Leonardo Hotels Central Europe will manage the entire JM Tower complex on ul. Grzybowska in Warsaw from October this year. Currently, the chain is only responsible for managing the section where the Leonardo Royal Warsaw hotel operates.
