Employing advanced demolition techniques, the project has repurposed off-site 98% of the demolition materials, meaningfully reducing the environmental impact.

City Point Targówek – a future-ready project

City Point Targówek is a brownfield project going beyond mere recycling and reuse of materials: it also incorporates advanced technology solutions designed to ensure long-term energy efficiency and occupant well-being. The redevelopment has been designed to achieve multiple certifications: BREEAM, LEED and WELL HSR, guaranteeing the highest standards in environmental sustainability and occupant health. In line with Peakside Capital Advisors’ sustainability strategy, the project integrates innovative solutions, such as light-coloured roofs, facades and hardscapes to prevent solar heat gain in buildings and mitigate the urban heat island effect. Besides delivering immediate energy savings, these measures also future-proof the project against climate change impacts.
A strong focus within City Point Targówek has been placed on staff comfort. The office and staff amenity areas feature advanced air filtration systems ensuring superior indoor air quality. By implementing LEED and WELL HSR standards, special attention has been given to promoting occupier health and comfort. The office spaces are designed to minimise noise pollution, while the interiors feature calming colour schemes fostering a sense of well-being.

Pro-environmental innovations in action

Redevelopment of post-industrial sites can also enhance local ecosystems. During the construction of City Point Targówek, biodiversity experts are being consulted to implement key recommendations, including the planting of native plant species and creation of wildflower meadows. These initiatives aim to boost biodiversity within the development while improving the aesthetics of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, measures have been taken to protect local wildlife, such as installing on-site insect hotels or delaying the construction work to safely relocate native protected fauna species from the development area.

Poland Domestic investment grows stronger

In the third quarter of this year, EUR 0.8 bln was invested in Polish commercial real estate, of which over EUR 324 mln came from domestic investors, setting a new record high. Colliers also expects higher investment activity in 2026. Total investment volume in Poland since the beginning of the year totals EUR 2.6 bln, with Polish capital taking a  23 pct share. Taking into account ongoing transactions, Colliers predicts this to increase to EUR 4.5 bln by the end of the year.

Strabag has been appointed by DB InfraGO AG to construct several sections of the Fehmarn Sound Crossing, connecting the island of Fehmarn with the German mainland via a 2.2 km tunnel. The tunnel is to replace the existing Fehmarn Sound Bridge. Road traffic will run on four lanes through two tunnel tubes, while a rail line will be routed on two tracks in separate tubes.
