Poland Grand station in little Brzeziny

Railway line no. 85 on the Warsaw - Łódź section is one of the investment priorities of the company Centralny Port Komunikacyjny. It will be opened for passenger use in 2032 (together with the opening of the new airport) and will allow the route to be covered in around 40 minutes, almost twice as fast as today.

Brzeziny is located in the north-eastern part of the Łódź Voivodeship, about 20 km from Łódź. It has been assumed that AeroExpress category trains from Warsaw to Łódź and RegioExpress trains from Skierniewice to Łódź and Łowicz to Łódź will stop at the station in Brzeziny. The above-mentioned connections will still be the subject of consultations with passenger transport organisers.

The planned station will be equipped with two platforms 400 metres long and 76 cm high. In its north-eastern part, the main hall for travellers will be located. Within this area, there will be, among other things, ticket offices, an administration area and security offices. A commercial space has been designed in the immediate vicinity of the passenger hall. The station's green roof will be made available to travellers.  

The Warsaw - Łódź section will form the core of the ‘Y’ route leading from the Polish capital via Łódź to Wrocław and Poznań. The entire 480-kilometre project will be built in stages and will be completed in 2035.
