Skanska has just been awarded another Well Core & Shell certificate, this time for stage II of Centrum Południe in Wrocław. It’s just over five years ago that you were the first in the country to receive this. Has your approach to this certification scheme changed much since then? Monika Chacińska, sustainable development manager, Skanska: Definitely. Spark C in Warsaw was awarded the first Well Core & Shell in Poland in 2019. This is the youngest of the building certification systems, as it was set up in 2014. BREEAM and LEED, which are both older, are well known, but they focus on slightly different aspects, such as the energy efficiency and the construction work.
