Poland’s economy continues to grow at a solid pace. According to Cushman & Wakefield, GDP increased by 3.5 pct year on year in the first quarter of 2026. Inflation stood at 2.5 pct in June, while average gross monthly pay in the enterprise sector reached PLN 9,173 in May, up 5.8 pct year on year.
Polish developers delivered around 150,000 sqm of new retail space in Q2, compared with approximately 90,000 sqm a year earlier, according to Cushman & Wakefield. It was the strongest second quarter for new completions since 2019.
Twelve new projects were completed during the quarter, all of them retail parks. The largest included BIG Dzierżoniów, offering 16,800 sqm, M Park Zawiercie with 15,500 sqm, and Eurobud Park Pruszcz with around 10,000 sqm.
The market also saw the redevelopment of existing properties. The former Glinki shopping centre was transformed into Comfy Park Bydgoszcz, with around 16,000 sqm. A further 36,000 sqm was added through extensions to existing developments.
