Reaching maturity

Editorial
The maturing process is usually a painful one – and the Polish retail market is no exception to this. It is currently undergoing a metamorphosis, as it becomes more demanding and difficult to work in – but it is certainly more attractive, too. There are no easy projects anymore and you have to work twice as hard as in the early days of Polish retail to achieve satisfactory results. However, thanks to this the quality of the shopping centre market in Poland has also vastly improved.

This 32-page ‘A little mall talk’ supplement has prepared by the ‘Eurobuild CEE’ editorial team with its main partner Carrefour Polska, as well as its contents partner Echo Investment. In this publication you will find a report summing up H1 2015 in the shopping centre business, which will be extended to the comments of market players sharing their knowledge of what challenges the market is about to face. The supplement also includes interviews with the representatives of development companies (Carrefour Polska, Echo Investment and Acteeum Group), of foreign companies on the Polish market (GPoland) and of architectural studios (Chapman Taylor). The retail projects we feature are proof that in spite of it still going ahead at an impressive speed, the Polish market is not likely to be running out of steam at any time soon. Large cities are experiencing their second retail wind, as are the older centres that are currently being modernised and extended. That’s why it’s worth taking a closer look at who is planning what and the quality they will add to the retail property scene.

I wish you a pleasant read,
