POLAND Gant Development closed the first half with a loss of almost PLN 30.5 mln.
The residential developer’s operating result was also negative at minus PLN 5.1 mln, while its sales revenue reached PLN 84.4 mln – down from PLN 267.2 mln in the same period last year. Due to the company’s financial situation it has announced that it is planning new investments with a degree of caution. Gant’s plans for the near future include starting new projects in Warsaw (Royal House on ul. Jana Kazimierza), Poznań (the Karpia estate) and Wrocław (on ul. Racławick

According to the 2024 European Purpose-Built Student Accommodation Investment Barometer, conducted by The Class Foundation and Savills, involving investors and operators with portfolios totalling over 132,000 beds across Europe, with an asset value of circa EUR 25.3 bln, respondents expect to increase the number of beds they have by 70 pct over the next 2-5 years. This would bring the total to over 220,000 beds, deploying a further EUR 22 bln of capital.
