CZECH REPUBLIC In 2013 the supply of new industrial space in the Czech Republic grew by 23 pct y-o-y – the highest annual new supply since 2009, according to the Industrial Research Forum.
With the addition of 260,000 sqm of new space last year, total industrial stock now stands at 4.45 mln sqm. However, in Q4 only 35,000 sqm was completed, much less than expected, due to delays in completions. The expected space will now be delivered this year. The highest construction activity in 2013 was located in the Central Bohemia region (mainly in the Mladá Boleslav district) and Greater Prague, which both accounted for more than 21 pct of the overall new supply.
