Hochtief finishes and hands over Plac Małachowskiego

Office & mixed-use development
POLAND Kulczyk Silverstein Properties (KSP) has taken over the refurbished and extended Plac Małachowskiego office project in Warsaw.
The building has actually been in KSP’s portfolio since 2012, but renovation work has since been carried out by the former owner Hochtief Development Poland, before the property was handed over. The project includes the century old Count Raczyński townhouse and a newly built wing – both of which comprise 13,100 sqm of office space in total and almost 1,400 sqm of retail. There is also an underground car park with 100 spaces. The project was BREEAM pre-certified at a ‘Very Good’ level in July last year. “We are proud that this pearl of architecture, which Plac Małachowskiego undoubtedly is, is now gleaming, as it should. This project shows how tradition can be combined with modernity. We are sure that it is now one of most beautiful boutique office projects in Warsaw,” said Piotr Krawczyński, the managing director and a member of the board of Kulczyk Silverstein Properties. The project is located on pl. Małachowskiego square, which is also to be modernised by 2016. The refurbishment concept was selected in an architectural competition organised by a coalition of KSP, Warsaw’s Śródmieście district, the State Ethnographical Museum in Warsaw, the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Warsaw and the Zachęta National Gallery of Art.
