Immofinanz spins off logistics business

EUROPE Immofinanz has decided to sell its 1 mln sqm gla European logistics portfolio and put more focus on its other business lines, retail and office, in Poland, Austria and Germany instead.
Currently, logistics properties represent app. 8 pct of the Group’s portfolio. Most of the assets are located in Germany, while the rest of them is situated in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Russia. After the transaction, retail assets will account for almost 49 pct of the company’s portfolio, with office properties making up app. 44 pct of the Immofinanz projects.The Vienna-based developer, which is currently in talks on the sale, said that it now plans on concentrating its activiti

7R has launched construction on 7R Park Szczecin South, a two-building centre that will eventually comprise around 29,000 sqm. The sole tenant of the first building will be e-commerce logistics operator Procent Poland, with a lease of 23,000 sqm. The second smaller building of the complex will have an area of around 5,000 sqm.

Dutch real estate group Van der Vorm is expanding into a new business line in Poland focused on asset-backed real estate financing. The group's first transaction of this kind on the Polish market was a bridge loan of approximately PLN 13 mln granted to a real estate developer. KWKR advised Van der Vorm on the structuring and closing of the transaction.

Polish State Railways (PKP) has launched a tender to appoint a contractor to build a new railway station in Łapy, with bids due by 28 August. Construction is scheduled to get underway in the fourth quarter of this year, with the station expected to open by the end of 2027.

Poland Tunnel boring soon to begin

Work is progressing on the High-Speed Rail (KDP) tunnel in Łódź, part of the Port Polska project. At the launch chamber in Retkinia, the concrete support for the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) shield has been completed, while the first components of the machine are being assembled on site. Tunnelling on one of Poland’s most important underground railway projects is due to begin in 2027.

Penta Real Estate has acquired a 50 pct stake in HoldCo Bubny, a company with land holdings int the Bubny–Zátory development area in Prague, which is to be redeveloped into a vibrant new mixed-use district in Prague. A total of 27 residential blocks with 10,000 new homes are planned in a projected investment of around EUR 3.7 bln.

Finarto Investments has appointed Allcon as the general contractor for Park Kaszuby, a new retail park in Wejherowo. The construction site is due to be handed over and work is scheduled to begin in August 2026. The project will offer 13,000 sqm of leasable space, 17 retail units and 324 parking spaces. The park is scheduled to open in November 2027.

Poland Retail stock breaches 14 mln sqm

In the first half of 2026, Poland’s modern retail stock grew by more than 200,000 sqm, bringing the total to over 14 million sqm at the end of June. According to real estate advisory firm Colliers, the number of operating retail schemes rose to 738, while retail density reached 374 sqm per 1,000 residents.
