Contract for Suwałki ring road signed

POLAND Budimex has been awarded the contract for the design and construction of the Suwałki ring road by the Białystok branch of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA).

The contract is worth PLN 243.5 mln net. The result of the tender was reported in this publication in August. The Suwałki ring road will connect with the Augustów ring road, which was completed last year and was also constructed by Budimex. The new road, the S61, will have a length of 12.8 km and will be a dual carriageway expressway. The ring road will bypass the town from the west and the north. The contractor has 34 months to complete the project (the construction period will exclude winter periods from December 15th until March 15th).
