Panattoni completes Pilkington plant

POLAND Panattoni Europe has completed the construction of a manufacturing plant for Pilkington Automotive in Chmielów, in the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone Euro-Park Wisłosan.

A 21,000 sqm hall has been built as an addition to a 35,000 sqm facility built by Panattoni in 2012. The entire complex totals app. 90,000 sqm, of which as much as three quarters have been developed by Panattoni. The development of the automotive glass manufacturing plant of Pilkington Automotive Poland is an investment of app. PLN 500 mln.

Poland’s growing data centre market could create a significant new source of waste heat for heating networks. According to analysis by the Polish Data Centre Association, if the market continues to expand, recovered heat from data centres could equal more than 7 pct of the heat currently supplied to Poland’s district heating networks by 2030. By 2035, that figure could reach 16 pct.
