Art deco from Terra Casa
ResidentialThe art deco-style building which is located at ul. Siedmiogrodzka 7, will comprise 67 flats of between 30 sqm and 125 sqm. Each will have a balcony, a loggia, a terrace or a garden. The two biggest penthouses will have adjacent green terraces, with an area of over 100m. The developer has revealed that a reconstructed factory building from the 1920s will form an integral part of the project. This will contain four retro loft apartments with private access to the lift. A two-storey car park for 77 vehicles will also be constructed.
“The première of Art Deco – Apartamenty na Woli took place in Chicago, in cooperation with the Polish-American Chamber of Commerce and the Warsaw Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International. The project makes reference to the best traditions of art deco style in Chicago and the Streamline Moderne style in Warsaw, as part of the sister city cooperation between Warsaw and Chicago since 1960. The financial district in Chicago, located at the junction of Jackson Boulevard and LaSalle Street, has been a crucial inspiration for our project in Wola. In the district there are many buildings of financial institutions, the Money Museum and the most spectacular and beautiful example of art deco architecture: the Chicago Board of Trade building. One can be enthused by the delightful geometric simplicity of the body of the building, its timeless style and the precision of the detail and decorations. The place recalls the magnificent spirit of the 1920s and 1930s, it inspires creators, artists and film makers. It also inspired the architects of the Kazimierski i Ryba studio in Warsaw,” explains Artur Tłustochowski, the president of the management board of Terra Casa.
The prices of flats in the pre-sales range from PLN 9,400 to PLN 13,500 per sqm, depending on the size and location of the flat, and the floor on which it is situated. The front elevation of the building is decorated with sandstone and a wooden module, typical of the era. A decorative mosaic made from stone and a concierge reception are to be situated in the elegant lobby of the building. Each flat will be equipped with mechanical ventilation and a system prepared for the installation of air conditioning. The underground car park will have spaces for cars and bikes, storage rooms, utility rooms, and charging stations for electric cars. The general contractor is Strabag’s Warsaw division, which will have 20 months to complete the work in a contract worth almost PLN 18 mln net. Strabag was awarded the contract by TC Forum Art Deco, of which Terra Casa is a shareholder.
