Lublin western ring road opens

POLAND The Lublin ring road along the S19 expressway has now been opened. The road, which was built by Budimex, bypasses Lublin from the west. Budimex has built a 9.8 km section under the contract.
The western ring road begins at the Lublin Sławinek interchange built at the crossroads of S12, S17 and S19 and finishes at the junction with the DK19 road in Konopica. Two interchanges have also been built: Lublin Szerokie (at the junction of national road 830) and Lublin Węglin (at the junction of a redeveloped section of provincial road no. 747). “One of the greatest challenges was the WK-6 rail viaduct.
