POLAND The tendering process for the construction of the Łomża bypass is now underway. Two sections of the S61 with a combined length of over 20 km are to be built, to allow transit traffic the north and the west to avoid the town centre.
The sections on the Via Baltica route included in the tender are those between the Łomża South interchange and the Łomża West interchange (7,170 sqm) as well as between the Łomża West interchange to the Kolno interchange (12.99 km). The latter section will involve the construction of longest bridge in the Podlaskie province – a 1.2 km structure over the Narwia valley.
