Budimex to build Via Baltica section

POLAND Budimex has been awarded a PLN 278 mln net contract by the Białystok branch of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways [GDDKiA] for the design and construction of the S61 Ostrów Mazowiecka–Szczuczyn expressway.
Budimex is to build an 18 km section of the road from the Stawiski junction (excluding the junction) to the beginning of the Szczuczyn bypass. The company now has 31 months (excluding winter periods in the construction phase) to obtaining the necessary permits and carry out the work. This will form a section of the Via Baltica route, which in Poland includes the S8 expressway from Warsaw to Ostrów Mazowiecka and then along the S61 expressway from Ostrów Mazowiecka to Budzisko on the Polish-Lit
