POLAND Urban Land Institute is organising the first Places + Spaces event, a series of meetings during which developers, architects and urban planners are to discuss the impact of new projects on urban areas both in Poland and abroad. The first event is to be devoted to big mixed-use projects and is to be held in Warsaw on February 20th.
“We are going to present examples from around the globe of large, landmark projects such as the Guggenheim Museum and Millennium Park. We will discuss the effect of creative placemaking on urban environments and on how cities are perceived by its inhabitants and by tourists. I am convinced that participants will appreciate the expertise of our speakers and the casual, stimulating format of the meetings,” said John Banka, the chairman of the Urban Land Institute Poland.
