Re-routing for central Toruń

POLAND Major renovation work has started on pl. Rapackiego in the centre of Toruń.
The first stage of the PLN 72.4 mln project will take until July and involves the redevelopment of ul. Chopina and Wały Sikorskiego. “The tramlines thoroughly renovated and new sections will be added. The roadways, pavements and cycle paths are also to be redeveloped. A new platform for the tramline will also be built,” reveals Michał Zaleski, the mayor of Toruń. Strabag to help build Fehmarn tunnel

Strabag has been appointed by DB InfraGO AG to construct several sections of the Fehmarn Sound Crossing, connecting the island of Fehmarn with the German mainland via a 2.2 km tunnel. The tunnel is to replace the existing Fehmarn Sound Bridge. Road traffic will run on four lanes through two tunnel tubes, while a rail line will be routed on two tracks in separate tubes.
