Finns choose 3T Office Park
Office & mixed-use developmentIn mid-2021, when the building comes into use, Wartsila Polska will occupy two floors with a total of around 2,500 sqm with the option of adding 1,250 sqm to this in the future. The company is a subsidiary of Helsinki-based Wärtsilä, which provides systems for the maritime and energy sectors – such as for product sales, design and maintenance services. In its Gdynia office building, the company will consolidate the space it has occupied so far. Its new office will service two business lines: ship design and gas installations.
“Out of the 18 offices that met our requirements, 3T Office Park was the most interesting. Our decision was based on two key factors: the first and most important one was the location of the building. We mainly took into account the expectations of employees related to the convenient access to the offices – from the TriCity area but also Rumia, Reda and Wejherowo. The second important factor was to secure the highest standard of building among those available offices in the TriCity with an acceptable price per square metre,” explains Marek Wronka, the managing director of Wartsila Polska.
“This lease agreement confirms that Gdynia is not so much an attractive but a natural place for doing business in this sector. Especially for companies with a Scandinavian origin – due to its geographical proximity and extensive network of air connections with Finland, Sweden and Norway,” comments Sergiusz Gniadecki, the owner of the office building and the CEO of 3T Office Park.
Wartsila Polska is the third tenant to be confirmed for 3T Office Park. At the beginning of the year, the contracts were signed with two others: Mały Einstein (a nursery school) and a Medicover medical centre.
3T Office Park is now the largest office project in Gdynia. The building on ul. Kazimierza Górskiego will consist of three towers (two of ten storeys ones and another of 13) joined by an underground level consisting of a two-level car park for 420 vehicles. The total usable area of 3T Office Park will come to 54,900 sqm, 38,500 sqm of which is to be leasable. The completion of the construction work has been scheduled for mid-2021.
