POLAND Two more tenants have signed up for space in PH Kasztelania shopping centre in Chrzanów ion Małopolska, which is now close to completion.

Carrefour Market has leased 720 sqm on the ground floor of the centre and is to be its grocery anchor. An Interfit Club gym of 1,043 sqm will also now be opening on the first floor of the centre. The two leases bring the occupancy level up to 90 pct. Other tenants will include Action, Jysk, Martes Sport, Media Expert, Sinsay, Smyk and Rossmann.

The first stage of PH Kasztelania, which will comprise 14,100 sqm and 375 parking spaces, is due to open in June. The investor behind the project is Stec, Stabil is responsible for the architectural design while Cream Property Advisors is the leasing agent.

The sector’s total capacity could reach 13 GW by the end of 2026, up 20 pct year on year, according to CBRE’s 'Europe Data Centres Q2 2026' report. Rising demand is also changing where data centres are being built. Investors are increasingly looking beyond the largest hubs, creating new opportunities for Poland, where data centre capacity could grow from around 200 MW today to 500 MW by 2030.

Retail parks strengthen their position in Poland

Retail parks are strengthening their position as one of the key segments of Poland’s retail property market. Their share of new supply continues to grow, with developers pursuing projects in both major cities and smaller towns. At the same time, the format is moving beyond its traditional focus on discount stores and convenience retail. According to the 'Retail parks uncovered' investment report prepared by Avison Young in cooperation with CMS, Newgate Investment and PROH, Poland currently has 3.8 mln sqm of retail park space, accounting for 25 pct of the country’s modern retail stock. A further 746,000 sqm across 88 projects is under construction.
