EUR 30 mln Prague Airport job for Eurovia and Hochtief

Infrastructure
CZECH REPUBLIC A consortium comprising Eurovia and Hochtief has been awarded a CZK 835 mln (app. EUR 30.826 mln) contract to expand the second terminal and construct a new runway parallel to it at Václav Havel – Ruzyně Airport in Prague.

The intention of the investment is the partial relocation of the TWY R (Romeo) taxiway and the modernisation of the check-in stands in the south area of the airport, primarily used for the handling of private flights.

Eurovia has a 60 pct share in the consortium, with Hochtief making up the remaining 40 pct.

The first stage, which will take place this year, involves relocating TWY R. In the second stage in 2021, the new terminal space is to be built and the existing areas will be connected to the newly built infrastructure, including the installation of new lighting and security equipment, cable ducts, high-current and low-current distribution, drainage, lighting and jet blast deflectors. The installation of electrical equipment, the third stage of the project, will represent the final phase of the project in the first half of 2022.

The work is expected to begin in mid-June with the entire project to be completed by the end of July 2022.
