POLAND GFT moves HQ to Brama Miasta

Office & mixed-use development
German software provider GFT is moving its Polish headquarters in Łódź to the first building of the Brama Miasta complex in the city centre, where it will occupy three floors and 4,700 sqm.

GFT, which was supported by CBRE in the leasing process, will be occupying the 9th, 10th and 11th floors of building B of the complex. GFT also has locations in Poznań, Warsaw and Kraków, with 450 of its 800 employees being located in Łódź.

Moving to a new headquarters is a good moment to look back at our activities. In our 13 years of activities in Łódź, we have maintained a very high level when it comes to the projects we have carried out for demanding high-end customers – such as Citi, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Standard Chartered, Google and MACIF. We have also developed in such areas as the cloud, big data, blockchain and artificial intelligence – because we want our specialists to be able to develop in all directions and in the most current fields. Although the world had recently been holding its breath, we have remained a stable, solid organisation that looks boldly into the future and stays true to its values. The first is caring – for our team, our business with clients and the environment. In March, in just three days, out of concern for the safety of our specialists, we moved our offices to 800 homes throughout Poland – and we are still working like this. In the meantime, however, for the sake of their future comfort, we have been preparing a new place for them for them and we are now waiting for the opportunity to meet up again
Wojciech Mach, the managing director of GFT Polska

The 27,800 sqm building, which was completed last year, was designed by Medusa Group and has obtained a Buildings with Barriers certificate. A second, 13,600 sqm building is close to completion. Skanska is the developer of the complex. It is situated in the ‘New Centre’ of Łódź, a revitalisation project centred around the Łódź Fabryczna railway station.
