HUNGARY Prologis brings Parklife to Budapest tenants

Warehouse & industrial
Prologis has acquired a 13 ha site for a new complex – Prologis Park Budapest-Sziget II.

The company is planning to develop two buildings with a total of 60,000 sqm on the land, which is located off the M0 motorway, south of the city centre. Modesta Real Estate facilitated the transaction.

The new park will be operated under Prologis’ Parklife initiative, providing workers with a range of services and amenities, such as on-site technical support, a car sharing scheme and green spaces.

In addition, logistics specialist Fiege has become Prologis’ largest tenant in Hungary with the signing of three recent leases for 38,600 sqm at Prologis Park Budapest-Harbor. Out of this total, 19,600 sqm are new leases, including in the recently completed new building 11 (14,000 sqm). Fiege now occupies 59,000 sqm in the complex.

We knew that our customer had to deliver on its promises, so we worked hard to deliver on ours. Thanks to our long-term partnership, we understand Fiege’s business operation and are able to provide them with tailor-made solutions that satisfy their needs. Building 11, backed by our dedicated property services and park amenities, will enable our customer to grow its business at this employee-friendly city location
Zsuzsanna Hunyadi, a leasing manager at Prologis

Prologis Park Budapest-Harbor is situated in district 22 of the city, on its southern outskirts. It currently comprises 155,270 sqm in twelve buildings. It also features the Parklife concept, including a five-a-side football pitch, a barbecue area and a free car sharing platform.
