CZECH REPUBLIC Skanska awarded CZK 1.5 bln Brno railway job

Skanska together with railway electrification Elektrizace železnic Praha (Elzel) has been awarded a contract with Správa železnic (SZDC) for the upgrade of an 8.5 km stretch of railtrack in Brno.
Skanska’s part of the contract is worth CZK 1.5 bln (app. EUR 56.3 mln), which will be included in its order book for Q3 2020.
Skanska will be responsible for the comprehensive upgrade of the infrastructure, pre-electrification adjustments, and making the track more environmentally friendly. It will also double the width of the track and build two new stations as well as a number of pedestrian underpasses, four new crossings, several bridges and culverts and will reconstruct a steel pedestria
