POLAND Only four mega-projects out of 25 underway - Spectis

Four mega-projects are currently under construction in Poland with a combined value of PLN 17 bln (EUR 3.8 bln), according to research by construction market analysts Spectis.
However, 25 mega-projects (with a unit value of more than PLN 3 bln or EUR 670 mln excl. VAT) with a combined value of PLN 295 bln (EUR 66 bln) are in the pipeline. Almost half of this is accounted for by power and industrial projects, with nuclear power units planned in the Pomeranian making up almost 50 pct (app. EUR 16 bln) of these – while two offshore wind farms, the first ever to be built by Poland, could add a further EUR 11 bln.
