Hungary Liszt Ferenc with new airport pier

Infrastructure
Pier 1 at Budapest's Liszt Ferenc International Airport opened on August 12th.

The extensive glazed surfaces and wooden beams of the 11,500 sqm building were designed in a Scandinavian style

Total investment costs came to HUF 11.5 bln (EUR 33 mln) and construction work was begun on 19th July 2019

The pier has eight boarding gates directly connected to aircraft stands as well as sic 6 which lead to buses to take passengers to their flights. A Relay newsagent and a Cafe Frei coffee cafe will open in the next 3 weeks, followed by a Heinemann duty free store at the beginning of October.

Italian job for Baltic pipeline

POLAND Italian drilling and engineering company Saipem has been awarded a EUR 280 mln contract by the Polish gas transmission operator Gaz-System for the transportation and installation of a natural gas pipeline between Denmark and Poland in the Baltic Sea.
