HUNGARY Four firms vie for Budapest Chain Bridge contract

Four applications have been made by companies to take on the project of renovating the Széchenyi Chain Bridge in central Budapest.
Fourteen contractors initially expressed an interest in taking part in the project in August when the tender was launched, but the identities of the four that finally submitted bids are to remain confidential at this stage of the procurement process. The commissioning body, the municipally-owned BKK (Budapest Transport Centre), is to invite the four parties to negotiations in the first half of October at the latest. If any of the bids are successful it could sign a contract with one of them nex
