POLAND Poznań's tallest tower begins to rise

Office & mixed-use development
Von der Heyden Group has announced the start of the construction of Andersia Silver, Poznań’s tallest class A office building.

The 117.5m high skyscraper is being developed by the group through a joint venture company between First Polish Real Estate B.V. and the City of Poznań, with Porr as the general contractor. The project represents the fourth and final phase of Von der Heyden Group’s Anders Square development in the city. Once completed in 2023, it will join on Anders Square the Poznań Financial Center, Andersia Tower and Andersia Business Center, completed in 2001, 2007 and 2012 respectively by Von der Heyden Group. Andersia Tower is the current tallest building in the city at 105.2m in height.

Andersia Silver has been designed by architects Ewa and Stanisław Sipiński. It will have 25 storeys including three underground levels with parking for more than 244 vehicles. The mixed-use commercial building will comprise almost 40,000 sqm of usable space, mostly office space. The developer is aiming to obtain a LEED ‘Gold’ certificate for the building.

It is a great pleasure to witness the start of the Andersia Silver project, the final addition to Anders Square. For more than two decades, we have striven the create this addition to the Poznań cityscape you can see today: a bustling, community-oriented location with a top class tenant structure, which represents a unique opportunity for businesses to claim a spot on one of the major thoroughfares in the city. It also marks the start of the grand finale of a very successful public-private partnership we are very proud of, which has now lasted for more than 24 years – and that speaks for itself.
Sven von der Heyden, the chairman and founder of Von der Heyden Group

Investment costs for the building are estimated at EUR 135 bln and for the Anders Square as a whole will come to more than EUR 250 bln.
