Poland Panattoni buys Janki site

Warehouse & industrial
Panattoni has bought 3.14 ha of land in Janki, on Warsaw’s southwestern outskirts.

Panattoni already has 176,000 sqm of industrial space in Janki, where with the new site it now plans to build its fourth warehousing complex in the town. The plot is situated off the S8 (Wrocław–Białystok) motorway, which will eventually run to the Czech border via Łódź and Warsaw. The location will provide the warehousing park with easy access to 2.6 mln local inhabitants.

This is the reason why warehouse buildings in Warsaw and its surrounding area continue to attract more tenants. Those locations close to the city are the most popular, which is because of the lack of available land and its high price in Warsaw itself. Such locations also benefit from being close to the main arterial routes and strategically placed junctions, which make both domestic logistics and access to the capital city much easier. It’s no surprise that of the 1.1 mln sqm of new space handed over by developers in the first half of this year, as much as 325,000 sqm was in the Warsaw region.
Michał Samborski, the head of development at Panattoni

In total, Panattoni now has 770,000 sqm of warehousing space in the Warsaw area as well as 55,000 sqm under construction.
