Work on Ursynów tunnel almost done

Infrastructure
Construction work on Warsaw’s southern bypass is nearing completion.

Currently, work on laying the road surfaces in the tunnel underneath the Ursynów district is underway and sound screens are being erected along where the road breaches the surface. The construction work is planned for June 2021.

The tunnel management centre is to be in a building above the western entrance, which is also to house the National Traffic Management Centre. On the eastern side of the Warsaw Ursynów junction, sound screens are being erected, pavements are being laid, and new trees are being planted. The work should all be completed in June this year.
