Ford Motor Company has renewed its lease of almost 1,300 sqm in the Nile House building in Prague’s Karlín district.

CBRE assisted Ford in its lease renewal.

The 19,000 sqm Nile House forms part of the River City Prague development, which covers 4 ha along the Vltava riverbank in the Rohanský Island area (Prague 8). Along with this building, it currently comprises Amazon Court, and Danube House, with Mississippi House and Missouri Park to complete the complex this summer. Altogether, the buildings will comprise 82,750 sqm of leasable space.

The developer of River City Prague is Austrian real estate investor CA Immo.

The Sales Momentum Change Index rose to 0.53 in August, its highest level this year, while 57.5 pct of developers surveyed now expect sales to increase over the coming months.

The number of corporate insolvencies in the sector rose by 31.3 pct year on year, while the number of restructuring proceedings almost doubled. Weaker demand, high labour costs and pressure on liquidity are among the main challenges facing the industry.
