ROMANIA CTP to build Oradea airport terminal

Infrastructure
Czech industrial developer CTP is to build a cargo terminal at the airport in Oradea in western Romania, after being selected to carry out the project in a tender held in August.

The project, which will be built on a plot of 14.4 ha, will have a built-up area of 67,776 sqm and over 2.7 ha of green space. Three independent buildings (warehouses and hangars) are to be constructed as well as a platform of 22,100 m2, including a taxiway, the access platform for the manoeuvring and parking of aircraft, in addition to car access and a car park. It will be directly linked to the runway of the airport and will feature special platforms and parking facilities for aircraft.

The first phase of the project is scheduled to start in Q4 2021 and should be completed in 2022. The second and third phases of the project are to take place in 2023, with their completion expected towards the end of that year.
