CZECH REPUBLIC Trigea acquires Moravian retail parks

Retail & leisure
Czech real estate fund Trigea has bought two retail parks in Moravia for an undisclosed sum.

The two parks are Nákupní Park Haná (aka. Retail Park Haná) in Olomouc and Retail Park Ostrava. They had been owned by Olomouc developer Gemo and Pradera. In its annual report for the financial year ending April 30th 2021, Aberdeen Standard Investments (the owner of Pradera) announced that it had reached a deal to sell the retail parks with the aim of rebalancing its “portfolio towards core real estate markets”.

Nákupní Park Haná Olomouc has a leasable area of 19,200 sqm, about 70 pct of which is occupied by furniture and household goods retailers, including Möbelix, Siko and Jysk, as well as Electro World and from next year Lidl. Retail Park Ostrava has a total leasable area of 10,300 sqm and features such brands as Sportisimo, Decathlon, DM Drugstore, Sinsay and Super Zoo. Both centres are 100 pct leased.

The strategy of the Trigea property fund is to build a diversified portfolio of quality real estate that will ensure an above-standard attractive return for investors. This year we want to deliver our investors a return of around 6 pct. The new acquisition of two wonderfully-performing retail parks will certainly contribute to this.
Tomáš Trčka, the managing partner of Trigea

CBRE, which has been managing both retail parks since 2013, mediated the transaction.
