POLAND Smartti gets started

Residential
Danish investor NREP and Finnish developer YIT have laid the foundation stone for the Smartti Mokotów PRS development in Warsaw.

Smartti Mokotów, which will be situated at the junction of ul. Postępu and ul. Domaniewska in the city’s predominantly office-focused Służewiec district is to comprise 800 apartments in two stages, making it the largest professionally run residential building in Poland. YIT is to be responsible for entre the design and construction of the project, while the general contractor is Unibep.

The project will breathe new life into the Mokotów district. It was designed to meet the increasing demand for 1 to 2 person households i.e. commuting professionals, singles or divorcees and couples looking for modern living solutions with a community vibe. Every residential unit will be fully fitted-out and furnished – with modern kitchens, bathrooms and balconies. In addition, the project will contain a large amount of complementary facilities – we expect to see a restaurant, a gym and plenty of space for working or relaxation. An open-air gym is also planned on the rooftop garden.
Rune Kock, a partner and the head of living at NREP

This is NREP's first project in the PRS market outside the Nordic countries. In June, NREP contracted more than 1,000 units in Warsaw from YIT, which included the purchase of the two stages of Smartti Mokotów as well as Parkur Residence in Ursynów and Nordic Bemowo.

NREP currently operates over 10.000 such units across the Nordics. The company manages 5.5 mln sqm of real estate worth EUR 12.5 bln in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Poland.
