POLAND Skanska to build for CD Projekt

Skanska has been commissioned to construct a new building for Polish video game developer CD Projekt on its main campus in Warsaw’s Praga Północ district.

The six-storey, 6,000 sqm building with an underground car park is to feature wooden terraces and greenery on the façades watered by retained rainwater. The balconies will be recessed into the façade to prevent excess sunlight from overheating the interior. A rest and recreation zone is also to be created on the roof.

The building will be constructed with composite reinforced concrete and a steel structure with a wooden terrace truss attached to the façade. Each internal level will be free of internal columns and load-bearing walls. Terraces covered with greenery will be created on the façade.
Maciej Kułakowski, a project manager at Skanska

Work on the new building is to start this month (April) and should be completed in Q1 2025.

CD Projekt’s campus is located at ul. Jagiellońska 74 and 76, where it owns 2.4 ha and 18,000 sqm of existing built-up space. The company is internationally famous for the development of such games as The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.
