Poland NREP poised to buy major 7R stake

Danish real estate investor NREP has submitted an application to the Polish competition authority UOKiK to acquire “joint control” of Polish warehouse developer 7R.
The application for joint control of 7R was made by the group’s Luxembourg-registered fund NREP Nordic Strategies Fund V Limited Partnership on April 12th. NREP has already entered the Polish market in what was its first foray outside Scandinavia. In H1 2021 it was announced that it had completed the acquisition of a 98.9 pct stake in Kraków-based BIK (Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych), which is another Polish warehouse developer. Poland AI and cloud demand drives growth in European data centre market

Demand for computing power is rising rapidly, driven by artificial intelligence and cloud services. This is accelerating growth in Europe’s data centre market. The sector’s total capacity could reach 13 GW by the end of 2026, up 20 pct year on year, according to CBRE’s 'Europe Data Centres Q2 2026' report. Rising demand is also changing where data centres are being built. Investors are increasingly looking beyond the largest hubs, creating new opportunities for Poland, where data centre capacity could grow from around 200 MW today to 500 MW by 2030.
