Hungary Marina City on its way

Residential
Cordia is about to launch the construction work on its Marina City urban regeneration project in Budapest - on a 14 ha site close to the banks of the river Danube.

The company, which is the residential subsidiary of Hungarian developer Futureal, intends to start selling homes in the development this autumn. Its plans include the construction of a promenade with direct access to the river, the development of energy-efficient buildings, and with car traffic segregated from a pedestrian zone. The Duna Plaza shopping centre is located nearby.

Futureal was also responsible for the large-scale Corvin Promenade mixed-use project in the city's Pest district (District VIII), which has involved the revitalisation of the surrounding area (with 23,000 sqm of public space) and the construction of around 3,000 apartments with a gross area of 200,000 sqm.

In 2023, Cordia sold its 10,000th apartment. Around 70 pct of its residential development is located in Budapest, while in Poland, the company’s second-largest market, the company has so far sold more than 2,400 homes. In addition, Cordia has sold more than 600 homes in Romania, the UK and Spain.
