ZDR Investments Group has completed its first acquisition of the year. The company purchased a Billa grocery store with adjoining retail in the Prague district of Kunratice for its qualified investor fund.
The property is located in Prague - Kunratice and has a leasable area of 1,899 sqm. The main tenant is a grocery chain Billa, part of the Austrian group REWE International. Other tenants include the discount chain Pepco and the Traficon network of tobacco products and newspapers. With this acquisition, we enter 2024, a year in which we expect a revival of the real estate market and an increase in transactions. Czech investment group AKIPIA has joined the Roma Tower project in Warsaw, while the investors have signed a construction agreement with the general contractor. The 170-metre residential tower at the junction of ul. Emilii Plater and ul. Nowogrodzka will comprise 357 ultra-luxury apartments.

Demand for computing power is rising rapidly, driven by artificial intelligence and cloud services. This is accelerating growth in Europe’s data centre market. The sector’s total capacity could reach 13 GW by the end of 2026, up 20 pct year on year, according to CBRE’s 'Europe Data Centres Q2 2026' report. Rising demand is also changing where data centres are being built. Investors are increasingly looking beyond the largest hubs, creating new opportunities for Poland, where data centre capacity could grow from around 200 MW today to 500 MW by 2030.
