poland Shoppers flock to Big Gorzów

Retail & leisure
The Big Gorzów retail park opened a month ahead of schedule. The park was built on an 8 ha site in the north-eastern part of Gorzów Wielkopolski. It will serve 160,000 buyers from the city and the region. On the day of the opening, around 10,000 visitors had visited by 2 pm.

Big Gorzów is the second largest retail park under construction in Poland this year. The facility was developed on an 8-hectare site. A total of 29 shops and retail outlets were created on 25,000 sqm, supplemented by more than 800 parking spaces.

In the park, the first shops in Gorzów will be opened by Decathlon (this will also be the largest shop in the complex, occupying nearly 2,500 sqm), Jula and the dm drugstore.

The facility is a true showcase of ESG solutions. Big Gorzów is one of the few exceptional retail facilities in Poland certified with BREEAM Excellent. This proves that we have built this park with special care for the environment. Big Gorzów is powered by solar energy, the park will make maximum use of rainwater, and our visitors will sit on benches made from a special recycled clothing composite.
Tomasz Szewczyk, managing partner Acteeum

The park is owned by Big Poland, part of the international Big Shopping Centers group, founded in Israel in 1994. The Big brand has been present on the Polish market since 2022 and owns three fully commercialised retail parks in Łubna near Warsaw, Lubin and Andrychów. Big Gorzów's investors are Equilis and Acteeum Central Europe.

Poland is at the centre of Big Shopping Centers' investment plans. We have an investment portfolio here worth EUR 60 mln. We are building parks in many places in Poland, such as the project in Ostróda, which is scheduled to open in 2024, in Olkusz, where Big is designing another facility, and in Piła, where a retail park with a total area of 40,000 sqm will be built on a plot already acquired.
Eran Levy, CEO at Big Poland
