POLAND Ghelamco gets go-ahead for Gdańska

The parties have signed an annex to the original agreement signed around a decade ago that will now allow Ghelamco to begin preparations for the project.

As well as the construction of a new station of 1,900 sqm, the project will also involve developing four mixed-use buildings for commercial use. The total built-up area of the project will come to around 100,000 sqm.

Xcity Investment is PKP’s vehicle for coordinating the development of the sites and properties it owns.

The station, also known as Dworzec Gdański, originally came into use in 1880, since when it has been rebuilt several times – most recently, in 1984, following a major fire.
