More malls modernised

POLAND One third of shopping centres across the country have now undergone some form of modernisation, according to a report by Jones Lang LaSalle. By 2014, app. 100 malls will have been modernised.
Half of all shopping centres trading on the Polish market were developed before 2002 and are now at least ten years old. The tenant mix is also changing, according to research. In 2000, a shopping gallery would take up around half of a centre’s space, with the remainder being occupied by a food store anchor. By 2012 shopping galleries had grown to take up around 74 pct of the space, and Jones Lang LaSalle predicts that this figure will reach 78 pct in 2014. Recently modernised shopping centres
