POLAND For the seventh time a jury comprising almost 160 real estate professionals has chosen the companies and buildings that have had the greatest effect on the Polish real estate market in 2016. On December 6th, over 800 people gathered for the gala ceremony held in the DoubleTree by Hilton Warsaw.

POLAND Orbis has concluded a franchise agreement concerning an Ibis Budget hotel in Lublin.

POLAND Tech and marketing company MakoLab has finalised its lease for space in the Ogrodowa Office building in Łódź.
Eurobuild Awards
The guests of the Eurobuild Awards gala, encouraged by Szymon Majewski representing the Iskierka foundation, willingly donated to the charity for sick children and a total of over PLN 40,000 was raised.

The cornerstone for the first theme park in Poland is to be laid on December 8th in the village of Kownaty in Lubuskie province, 40 km from Frankfurt an der Oder on the German border. POLAND Permits have been issued for seven new investment projects with a value in excess of PLN 320 mln involving the creation of 235 new jobs, to be set up in the Katowice Special Economic Zone.
CZECH REPUBLIC Transport and logistics company DSV has opened a logistics centre with an area of 23,000 sqm close to Vaclav Havel airport in Prague.

POLAND Isku, one of Scandinavia’s largest furniture manufacturers, which was founded in 1928, has opened its first showroom in the Prosta Tower office building in Warsaw with a lease of 240 sqm.

ROMANIA AFI Europe affiliate Africa Israel Investments has signed a letter of intent to sell the five office buildings constructed next to the AFI Palace Cotroceni mall in Bucharest.

CZECH REPUBLIC Global Logistics Solutions, the logistics provider and subsidiary of Foxconn CZ, has leased a new 11,000 sqm hall in Logistika Park Pardubice in Černá za Bory.
ROMANIA Growthpoint Properties, a REIT listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, is to pay EUR 186.4 mln for an initial 26.9 pct stake in Globalworth Real Estate Investment, which is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
