Competition for Copernican laboratory
POLAND A total of 35 architectural studios will take part in a competition to choose the design for the Copernican Revolution Laboratory at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw.

SAP moves
SLOVAKIA Software developer SAP Slovakia has leased 3,000 sqm in the Twin City office complex in Bratislava. The company has moved from the BBC V office building where was headquartered for ten years. The new lease also includes around 120 underground parking spaces.
484 hotels under construction in Europe
EUROPE According to the ‘April 2017 Pipeline Report’ published by STR, there are 167,950 rooms in 1,068 hotel projects being developed in Europe.
Katowice cools down
POLAND A slowdown has been noted on the office market in Katowice with development activity in the city at its lowest level since 2011, claims Savills in its ‘Market in Minutes – Office market in Katowice 2017’ report. The supply of office space under construction is the lowest in years. However this is just a temporary situation and next year we can expect an increase in development activity. The vacancy rate is dropping, but still remains one of the highest in Poland.

CZECH REPUBLIC The façade of the Bieblova residence project, constructed out of Hi-Macs Solid Surface, has been designed by P6PA+Architects as a tribute to Konstantin Biebl, a prominent Czech poet from the inter-war period who lends his name to the street in Prague where the building is located.
