POLAND This is the news the commercial real estate market has been eagerly awaiting: the nomination process for the biggest and most important event in the sector – the Eurobuild Awards 2017 – has just been opened. You can enter 25 categories for the title of best company or best project of 2017, which will be chosen by a jury of market experts and professionals. The category list, participation criteria and registration instructions can be found in the Jury Awards section at www.eurobuildawards.com.

AmRest takes majority PizzaPortal.pl stake
POLAND/CZECH REPUBLIC AmRest, which holds the franchise rights for KFC and Pizza Hut in Poland and other countries in the region, has become the majority shareholder of Restaurant Partner Polska, the company which operates PizzaPortal.pl, while 49 pct shares are still owned by Delivery Hero – the previous sole owner.

CEE REGION Orbis is planning to open eight hotels over the next few months. The company has also signed a total of 40 contracts for the management or franchising of its hotels. The company has also employed Frank Reul, who will now be responsible for the development of the Orbis group.
