Poland Poland underestimates Building site crime
According to the latest BauWatch crime report only 56 pct of building site managers across the EU believe crime to be rising, but in Poland this figure is much lower at only 36 pct.

2026 will bring a further increase in the importance of Polish capital in the commercial real estate market. Transactions worth nearly EUR 1 bln were completed in Q1, according to data from Colliers – the highest figure since 2022 and 40 pct more than in the previous year. Segro has broken ground on a new, BTS manufacturing and warehousing centre of over 35,000 sqm for fibre optics manufacturer Corning Optical Communications in Segro Logistics Park Stryków. Corning has been based in the park since 2006. JLL advised Corning in the lease transaction.

Kempinski Hotels has acquired the Augustine Hotel in Prague. This is the first acquisition for the hospitality group in over 50 years, since it bought the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich in 1970.

Poland Cornerstone laid for Liberty Tower
The cornerstone of Liberty Tower, which is being developed by Cavatina, has been laid at ul. Grzybowska 54 in Warsaw. Even before the sales office opened in February of this year, 60 apartments on the top floors were sold.
