The Territorial Planning, Urbanism and Construction Code (CATUC) is expected to have a significant impact on Romania’s real estate market. This was 36 pct above the five-year average and the sector’s third-highest first-half investment volume on record, after 2020 and 2021. Investors are increasingly prioritising long-term, predictable income, while sale-and-leaseback transactions are becoming an increasingly important way of bringing assets to market.
