As Knight Frank turns its focus back on Poland, we caught up with Charles Taylor, the CEO of Knight Frank in Poland, who tells us about the big recent deal the company took part in, and how relationships are the most important thing in this business
Shall we start with the PLN 1 bln sale and leaseback deal you were involved in? I believe an American investor bought up two large industrial buildings. Charles Taylor, the CEO of Knight Frank in Poland: This deal is significant for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s absolutely representative of the sort of deals that Knight Frank is doing and will do more of. It shows how we use our European network, working with our team in London, to access a brand new capital source for Poland. It is new American money coming into Poland for the first time. And what’s it like to be back in the corporate world? The beauty of Knight Frank is that it’s a private company; it doesn’t have many of those characteristics that slow you down and frustrate you that you find in the corporate world. I’m lucky enough to be able to move at speed in Poland. So, I’m really excited to be back at the start of a new market cycle with a firm that has an agenda to really grow its
