Kraków post office sold to Zeitgeist
POLAND Zeitgeist Asset Management has bought a 19th century building on ul. Wielopole 2 in Kraków, which is partly occupied by the city’s main post office. The property together with a partialy developed plot on ul. Cystersów was sold to Zeitgeist by Orange.

Central Point signs up WeWork
POLAND Flexible workspace provider WeWork has leased 5,500 sqm for its sixth Polish centre in Central Point project in Warsaw. The building is under development by Immobel and scheduled for completion in 2021. WeWork was represented in the negotiations by Cushman & Wakefield.

Ailleron takes to the Podium
POLAND IT company Ailleron, which is involved in fintech and telecommunications, has signed one of Kraków’s biggest leases of 2019 and is to take up 8,600 sqm of office space in building B of Podium Park.

New Format for Gdańsk
POLAND Construction work on a new office building is starting on ul. Droszyńskiego in Gdańsk. The Format building will have five above-ground floors and more than 15,700 sqm of leasable space. The completion of the construction work has been scheduled for Q2 2021.

AIG and White Star start Mokotów project
POLAND AIG and White Star Real Estate have started construction work on the X20 office building on ul. Czerniakowska in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, for which the two companies have been awarded a EUR 61 mln bank loan.
Over 5 mln sqm in eight largest regional markets
POLAND At the end of H1 2019, the total modern office stock in the eight major regional markets (Kraków, Wrocław, the Tri-City, Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolis, Poznań, Łódź, Lublin and Szczecin) came to 5,302,900 sqm according to the latest figures from the Polish Chamber of Commercial Real Estate.

Calisia One now open
POLAND The Calisia One hotel and office project has been officially opened by Antczak Investments in Kalisz (between Łódź and Poznań). The Hampton by Hilton Kalisz was developed through the conversion of a former piano factory.

Office vacancy down again
POLAND The vacancy rate on the Warsaw office market decreased to 8.5 pct, which is a fall of 2.6 p.p. y-o-y. This is the lowest vacancy rate since 2012 and the rate is forecast to decrease further, says JLL.
