Ladies First!

More than one hundred women participated in the winter edition of the Ladies First events addressed to female managers of business directly and indirectly related to the logistics and manufacture sectors. Hosted by Katarzyna Pyś-Fabiańczyk, the head of the industrial and logistics department at BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland, the “Ladies’ Winter Tea” meeting was held on February 24th in La Maison Gourmand, a French restaurant and patisserie in Warsaw.

As during the inaugural Ladies First event in August 2015, the dominant topic for conversation was career and personal development management, however the role played by networking and positively reciprocal motivation in the setting and achievement of professional and personal goals was also discussed. A key element of the event was the announcement made in respect of the decision to transform the existing platform into a structured association bearing the name “Ladies First”.

“Now that the platform has been in operation for half a year, I realize that in addition to purely networking activities, i.e. the meetings and discussions held, formalized structures are needed for us, female managers, to carry out specific undertakings. We want to provide conditions that will allow us to get to know one another better, learn together and exchange our experiences. We hope that we are going to be able to implement projects which will bring added value and contribute towards further development of our members and their businesses,” said Katarzyna Pyś-Fabiańczyk, the founder of the platform and head of the industrial and logistics department at BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.
